This is our rather modest pond made from a pre-moulded plastic liner. It was marketed as an instant pond but was rather difficult to put in and anything but
instant. I would love to have a larger pond but our garden is small and space is at a premium. The plants are yellow flag irises that grow from pots
on the base and shelves in the pond. A pot on the far right corner should have purple loostrife and greater spearwort in flower but our rabbits like to reach
over and eat them. Common frogs (from introduced spawn) and common darter dragonflies have bred in the pond. A submerged pile of stones on the far left
side allows birds to wash and drink. If I could do it again I would have gone bigger, shallower and further from the cotoneaster bush that over-hangs it.
